Prof. Martin Persson, the manager of the nEUROcare project was the keynote speaker of the International Research Symposium of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Ruhuna 2023 (iRuFARS 2023). He delivered his keynote address on “An Overview of Worldwide Health Dilemmas: A Brief Introduction to Global Healthcare Challenges”.

In his speech, he spoke about the disparities and challenges experienced globally by the public while addressing more on the low and middle income countries. Further, he emphasized the necessity of specialized initiatives and educational curricula to counteract these healthcare adversities.

He pointed out the nEUROcare project as an excellent example for it which is an ambitious Capacity Building for Higher Education endeavor targeting Neurodegenerative Disorders within the Sri Lankan demographic. Because the program encompasses the formulation of exhaustive academic modules and the continuation of professional development, tailored for healthcare academics and practitioners alike.
