nEUROcare meeting in Sri Lanka
The ambitious nEUROcare project, spearheaded by Högskolan Kristianstad, reached a significant milestone with an international conference held in Colombo. The initiative seeks to address the challenges of caring for individuals suffering from neurodegenerative diseases in Sri Lanka.
Rektor Håkan Pihl, who attended the conference and met with numerous collaborative partners, expressed immense pride in the pivotal role that Högskolan Kristianstad is playing in this transformative initiative. He commented on the significance of the project, stating, “When I met the rectors of the universities in Sri Lanka, I understood the urgency of this area. This project is indeed a welcome initiative that is much needed. It’s heartening to know our institution is leading this consortium with many stakeholders involved.”
He further emphasised the potential for future collaborations with Sri Lankan educational institutions. The vision of the nEUROcare project not only aims to provide top-tier educational resources and training but also to foster a sense of unity among researchers and educators globally, opening doors for continued collaboration in education and research.
